About
Showcasing the South’s Amazing Small Towns
Small towns are special. Each one has its own vibe; a personality that is shaped by its history, the people who call it home, the businesses that support its economy, and the leaders who protect its uniqueness while also molding its future. For these and many other reasons, I love small towns and want to celebrate them!
Passionate Writer & Award-winning Communications Professional
Understanding the stories of people and places connect us to one another. My passion for storytelling combined with my love and appreciation of small towns converge here.
Thirty years of communications experience in corporate and nonprofit sectors honed my writing and storytelling skills. I’ve created hundreds of campaigns that strengthened organizational brands, raised their visibility, and achieved revenue goals through engaging content and effective communication strategies.
I’m a double graduate of the University of South Carolina (B.A. & MMC) and a proud Gamecock. I’ve been quoted in Real Simple magazine, recognized for communications excellence by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and received several personal awards.
After my corporate career, I opened a boutique marketing communications firm, so I intimately understand the struggles of keeping a business going—and growing—to provide for my family. One of my goals is to use this platform to raise awareness of the South’s small businesses to help introduce them to new customers, expand their reach, and create avid fans.
Loving My Own Small Town of Chamblee, Georgia
I’m proud to reside in a small town myself. Chamblee, a small town located only 14 miles north of downtown Atlanta, has blossomed from its own renaissance; expanding because of incredible residents and people who have the vision, passion, and hard work to make it come true. You’ll likely see a lot of Chamblee posts because I’m proud of my own ‘hood.
Love Your Small Town Too?
Drop me a line and let me know. I can’t wait to hear all about what makes it special.
